So from revision to revision you might notice certain HUD elements missing/added or certain main NPCs might look different. This is likely due to old mods being removed if they proved problematic/obsolete. Or new mods being added to spice up a characters look or add holiday themes to menus. </details> <details><summary>▫️WILL UPDATING THE COLLECTION AFFECT MY SAVES</summary> 🔹This is highly unlikely, most mods are cosmetic and only add features to improve gameplay experience, they are unlikely to tamper with the fundamentals of the game, or affect saves. Best practice would be to make sure you know what save file you are on before an update. Then if you do run into issues with a new revision you can revert back to a previous revision and save file.\ \ If you do find issues loading saves I have included a post further down detailing 2 mods that can affect save files. For example updating from R118 to R119 you must have 2 seperate profiles in Vortex\ \ 🔹Have you installed any mod yourself that's not in the collection\ *This is not recommended unless you are certain it doesn't conflict with any other mod* </details> <details><summary>▫️CRASHING WHEN TRYING TO CHANGE APPEARANCE RIPPERDOC/MIRROR</summary> 🔹This is likely due to clothing/weapon mods that have since been removed in updated revisions;\ \ 🔹Before opening the appearance menu remove all clothing/weapons your character has equip and try again\ \ 🔹If this now allows you to change appearance normally then yay.\ \ 🔹If this issue persists send a report in [discord](https://discord.gg/JB9xwBvx7M) ⁠🦠┃[bugs](https://discord.com/channels/1285796904160202752/1285796905640788030) channel. </details> <details><summary>▫️I CANNOT LOAD ANY SAVES</summary> 🔹This is likely due to a mod that you used to create a new game with\ \ Likely mods ; New Game Plus - Native New Lifepath Intro - Fresh Start\ \ In my testing I have found any playthroughs created with New Game Plus will then be dependant on that mod, you must ensure this mod is always present and enabled in the collection otherwise you will encounter the error shown below.\ \ With playthroughs created with New Lifepath Intro - Fresh Start, if this mod is removed it will try to default your save back to "Nomad" liftpath, however it gets confused and will allow you to continue playing, but you will be locked out of any lifepath dialogue/quests. The fix for this is to either install this mod again, or install Lifepath Changer - No Lifepath Restriction, and manually set your lifepath.\ \ Be very careful using any New Game +/New Lifepath mods. As this will essentially lock your savefile to these mods.\ \ Update: We suspect some save files might of been inadvertantly affected by the New Game Plus - Native mod that was present in revisions 116-119. It was removed in 120. If you are having the issue shown below when loading save please try downloading New Game Plus - Native mod from nexus as a likely fix to the problem.
